Billy Blatty had prior experience in New Orleans, where he originally began his career. There he successfully owned / operated the electronic dance music mecca, Ampersand Nightclub for several years before Hurricane Katrina hit the city and decimated the club. He rebuilt after the storm, but this disaster led him to expand his businesses to Texas. Later, he also founded another company, New Orleans’ Ohm Lounge, for which he drew inspiration from Asian sake, small plates, and artesianal cocktail lounges.
In addition to his work in the restaurant industry, Billy Blatty developed the men’s clothing store In:theory, which lasted for two years before it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. He also created a pet cremation company under the name Heaven’s Pets, which he sold in 2001.
